Thief: Deadly Shadows
Master Thief Garrett returns in his 3rd and final outing of the Thief series.
After beating Deux Ex: Invisible War, I was wanting more of stealthy style open ended game play. It is a nice change of the usual pace when you are not playing a Rambo style run and gun character. Garrett in this game is killed fairly easy if he tries to face a guard one on one. He is better waiting in the shadows and knocking the guard out cold with his trusty blackjack. There is much more to the Theif series than simple cat-burglery. There is an on-going dark plot against the known world that Garett unwillingly always finds himself part of.
I never got much into Thief 1 and 2. I own them, but I was distracted at the time by other games such as Half-Life and online deathmatch. Looks like I really missed out. I may try to play 1 and 2, but its harder to get into them now with their older dated 3d engines.
There problably will not be another game in this series. As the team that created it has moved on.
