Frogger
The goal is simple, get your frog avatar from the bottom of the screen to one of the 5 homes at the top of the screen. You need to transverse the perils of a fast moving freeway as well as a swift river to arrive safely home.
Even at a young age, I questioned why a frog would die so easily from falling into the water. Just one of the many mysteries of video game physics.
This was one of games I played the most often on my 2600.
